Osi is a 10-year-old dog, who was believed to be a stray dog due to how unloved and ill he looks until it was later discovered that he in fact has a home and an owner.

Neglected and left to fend for himself most of the time, Osi bore the physical scars of neglect and the emotional wounds of being unloved. But the moment kind-hearted individuals extended a helping hand, he resisted because the poor dog didn’t want to leave his owner’s side.

It’s true when they say we do not deserve dogs, even though Osi was not well catered for by his owner, he still loved and stayed loyal to his owner.

Sad and afraid, he looked at his owner hoping his owner would decline him being taken away but it was time to go and his owner didn’t even care to look back at him as he was being taken away by his rescuers.

What Happened To Osi?

When asked about how Osi’s health got this bad, his owner said he ate pork bone. The bone probably got stuck or cut him in the mouth and therefore caused a mouth infection that is deteriorating his health.

Aware of the severity of his condition, these kind-hearted individuals immediately started treatment for Osi. First, his fur was shaved off to properly clean and treat his skin.

At the same time, some blood samples were taken and oral surgery was conducted just to make sure that Osi lived the rest of his life healthy.

For a few days, Osi would be on pain meds and monitored closely. But even while he received treatment this poor dog wore a sad face. You could easily tell that he misses his owner and is dismayed, he couldn’t understand why his owner would ignore him and let him so coldly.

Seeing how down he was, his caregivers took him out for a walk to improve his mood and comfort him.

Will There Be A Happy Ending For Osi?

After being admitted to the pet hospital, it was finally time for Osi to be discharged and go to his new home. Calm and unafraid, Osi explored his new surroundings and curiously observed his new neighbors.

Without showing any emotions or joy, Osi got acquainted with his new bed and life, it seemed like he hadn’t fully forgotten about his previous owner. But at the same time, he knew it was time to move on and extend his love to his new owner.

And so Osi started his new life even with the sad memories haunting him. After several weeks, there were visible improvements on his skin, he found a new hobby which was sunbathing and strolling with his owner by the beach. It seems Osi would have a better life after all but not for too long.

After 10 weeks of living his new life, Osi’s owner receives heartbreaking news. He has stage 3 kidney failure and he doesn’t have enough time left.

Osi being a strong and resilient dog didn’t give in to his ailment, instead, he fought to get better and healthier. He began recovering perfectly and replaced his sad face with a heartwarming smile.

It seemed he was ready to rewrite his story and create lasting and joyful memories for the little time he had left and we are all rooting for him.
