Dogs are often exceptional at finding things due to their remarkable sense of smell. Their abilities to smell are far superior to those of humans, and it allows them to detect scents even if it is incredibly low or faint.
This amazing ability makes them very valuable in search and rescue, by authorities. Dogs’ noses are highly sensitive and they can easily tell by smell when their owners are close by.
That said, there are several instances where they might forget to use their superpower to locate their owners when given tasks. In a TikTok video, we watch in awe as a dog owner disguised as a Christmas tree and gives her dog the task of finding her. Take a look.
In the festive spirit, a dog owner decided to indulge her furry friend, Kakoa, in a playful game of hide and seek. She disguises herself as a Christmas tree and wears a Christmas tree costume, she and her partner give Kakoa the task of finding her.
Excitement filled Buddy’s eyes as he entered the house and embarked on the mission, checking every nook and cranny.
His search took comical turns as he investigated unlikely spots, like the toy bin, around the couch and on the table! With determination, Buddy explored each corner of the house, fueled by the joy of the game.
He almost felt like giving up after searching every corner of the house and still couldn’t find his mom but his dad kept urging him to find up and kept it going.
We were stifled with laughter, watching this curious dog pass the “Christmas tree” multiple times without actually knowing it was his mom.
Finally, Kakoa’s keen sense of smell kicked in, and it led him straight to the supposed Christmas tree. Tail wagging furiously, he investigated the gift, something about it smells familiar. And that when the tree moves he discovers it was his owner.
The moment he found out, he leaped for joy, and he couldn’t control his happy emotions. Even as his mom spread her arms wide for a heartwarming hug, he ran around the living room, obviously proud of his accomplishment.
Both Kakoa and his mom shared the joy of the holiday surprise and created a memory filled with laughter and love and we loved every second of the video.
