Cats are endearing and a major part of every cat’s parents’ lives. We love and cherish them with all our hearts. Not only are these felines adorable companions, but they do bring joy and comfort to us.
However, as much as we want the best for our furry friends, they might sometimes encounter health issues that won’t go away. It is usually sad that on some occasions we can not shield them from some of these health problems as much as we would want to.
Dementia, a disease that causes deficits in memory is mostly common in senior cats. This sometimes causes them to be extremely clingy, affectionate, or totally disinterested in social interactions. However, in Claragbelle’s case, she is stuck with the memory of having kittens and Carrie’s imaginary kittens about like every nursing cat would do.
In the clip shared on TikTok, Claragbelle is seen coming out to greet her owner with a puffy piece of clothing she believes is her “kitten”. It was sad and adorable to watch this senior cat gently drop the “kitten” from her mouth as if to show it off to her owner.
Claragbelle was once a mum in 2006 and caring for her kittens must have been the best thing in her life which is possibly why her illness caused her to be stuck with the memory and it absolutely breaks our heart to watch her go through this.
As a caring mum, she sometimes takes her imaginary kittens to the spot where she once used to nurse her kittens and it moves us to tears. She must have been the best cat mom the world has ever seen and we hope she can one day reunite with her kittens. We love Claragbelle and wish her the best and happiest days of her life.
