2. Risk Of Pancreatitis

Pancreatitis in dogs is caused by fatty foods.  Caesar salad is high in fat as it contains cheese and croutons. Pancreatitis can be very severe and life-threatening. 

Symptoms of pancreatitis include diarrhea, abdominal cramp, vomiting, loss of appetite, and general weakness. When pancreatitis is not given serious medical attention it could cause organ failure and ultimately death.

3. Hemolytic Anemia

Hemolytic anemia in dogs is commonly caused by the consumption of onions and garlic in meals. This condition attacks and destroys the red blood cells and the result is usually very fetal. 

To protect your dog from health complications like this it is best to avoid feeding them meals like caesar salad which contains onions and garlic. 

4. Gastrointestinal Issues 

Caesar salad is inappropriate and hardly digestible for dogs and this can lead to gastroenteritis. Dogs with this health issue will show symptoms of weight loss, lethargy, weakness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, loss of appetite, flatulence, and fever.

5. Liver Failure

Caesar salad contains anchovies that have high traces of mercury. Mercury on the other hand can be very detrimental to the liver and can cause your dog’s liver to fail. Unfortunately, this condition is very severe and the fatality rate is usually high.

Yes, caesar salad is bad for dogs but it doesn’t mean your dog can’t safely enjoy other delicious homemade salads that are beneficial to them. 3. Seafood Salads

Seafood salad is also packed in omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, protein, and phosphorus. Dogs require a good amount of these nutrients for their day-to-day activities and functioning.
